TransPerfect current or former employees, who suffered from a data breach in January 2017 entitled to theft protection and reimbursement. According to the data breach, class action settlement the identity theft protection coverage is $3.5 million, and the reimbursement coverage is $19.5 million.

Case Summary:
Plaintiffs accused that the TransPerfect failed to protect the personal information of current as well as former employees’. They further alleged that their payroll information and W-2 data was exposed during the data breach.

The TransPerfect has not admitted any wrongdoing allegations against it but has agreed to give both reimbursement and identity theft protection services to employee or class members through Experian for three years.

All the Class Members who want and who are eligible for the identity theft protection from the TransPerfect data breach class action settlement can sign up. For the sign up they have to do it for Experian’s Credit Plus 3-Bureau plan. This plan offers three-bureau credit monitoring alerts, daily credit reports, dark web notifications, and other support services. Also, it will give $1 million as identity theft insurance.

The TransPerfect data breach settlement also provides reimbursement of $4,000 for out-of-pocket costs to Class Members.

If you want to opt out of the conditions of settlement, they can do so before Sept. 17, 2018.

Eligibility for the claim:
Class Members include who are eligible for claims are all current and former TransPerfect employees. The employees should be of the United States branch of TransPerfect whose Form W-2 data and/or payroll information was compromised.

So, if you are eligible, file a claim by Feb 10, 2021, to receive your claim money or potential award! Also remember that the Class Members have until September 17, 2018 time to object or exclude themselves from the settlement.

Claim form deadline:
12/5/2018 for identity theft protection.
2/10/2021 for reimbursement.
